  • Click on the marker pins to get summary information about each location and then follow the link to get more detail.
  • The marker pins are colour-coded by geodiversity feature type – see below.
  • Customize your map by toggling between Map, Satellite and Terrain views.
  • Click on the [+] and [-] buttons to zoom in and out. Use the cursor grab to move the map around, or double-click it to zoom in.
  • If the marker pins appear too close together zoom into the map to separate them

The marker pins are colour-coded as follows.
Green marker - Landscape & Landforms; Holocene Landscape & Landforms; Holocene
Yellow marker - Pliocene; Pleistocene Pliocene; Pleistocene (including the Crags and glacial features)
Pink marker - Palaeogene; Eocene Palaeogene; Eocene (including the London Clay)
Light blue marker - Landscape & Landforms; Holocene Upper Cretaceous(including the Chalk)
Red marker - Lower Cretaceous Lower Cretaceous
Dark Blue marker - Jurassic Jurassic
Purple marker - Cultural features Cultural features (such as building stones)
