About Geo-East

An introduction

The Partnership

Geo-East is a partnership of organisations and individuals active in promoting and conserving geodiversity in the six counties of the East of England region. We cover Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.

Our aims are to:

  • Promote geodiversity in the East of England.
  • Advocate and represent geodiversity in the regional planning process and other regional initiatives.
  • Encourage and enable collaboration, support and exchange of ideas in relation to geodiversity.
  • Represent the region in national geodiversity initiatives.

The Partnership consists of representatives drawn from the six counties and representatives of other organisations and individuals who share its aims. We gratefully acknowledge the financial support of Natural England.

We have an annual general meeting in October and regular Steering Group meetings, currently held in Cambridge. We publish a newsletter as well as this website. See below for our calendar of events.
